This webinar will be presented by Tatiana Melnik, Attorney of Information Technology, Healthcare IT and Intellectual Property with Dickinson Wright and April Sage, Director of Healthcare Vertical for Online Tech. The presenters will summarize the Supreme Court’s analysis; discuss the current HIT (healthcare IT)/MU (meaningful use) regulatory framework; the anticipated actions by the regulators as a result of this decision and increase in investment as a result of the stabilization.
Tatiana Melnik is an attorney with the Dickinson Wright law firm where her practice focuses on information technology, healthcare information technology, intellectual property and privacy issues. Ms. Melnik sits on the Michigan Bar Information Technology Law Council, the Automation Alley Information Technology Committee, and is a Managing Editor of the Nanotechnology Law & Business Journal. Ms. Melnik holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, a B.S. in Information Systems and B.B.A. in International Business, both from the University of North Florida. Ms. Melnik regularly writes and speaks on issues surrounding healthcare information technology.
April Sage has been involved in the IT industry for over two decades, initially founding a technology program in the pre-Windows era. In 2000, April founded a bioinformatics company that supported biotech, pharma, and bioinformatic companies in the development of research portals, drug discovery search engines, and other software systems.
