Otava, based on Ann Arbor, Michigan, recently released a third generation update to its VMware-based cloud infrastructure platform. Otava Cloud, built on VMware Director, is available for both enterprise end users and service provider channel partners and optimized for industries with advanced security and compliance requirements. Otava Cloud can be consumed on a self-serve basis or managed by Otava in public, reserved or private cloud deployment models. Among the improvements, Otava has integrated backup technology from the likes of Veeam and Zerto, added monitoring at the VM resource level, in addition to more building more connectivity capabilities for creating hybrid environments across on-premise and Otava data centres.
