From One CEO to Another: Let’s Navigate These VMware Program Changes Together

The recent announcement from Broadcom about the upcoming sunset of the VMware Advantage Partner Program, including the end of White Label, has left many in our industry facing difficult questions and tight timelines. I want to speak directly to the CEOs, founders, and leaders who are feeling the weight of these changes.

If your business was built around VMware services, I understand what’s at stake. You’ve spent years cultivating trusted client relationships, ensuring service continuity, and making strategic investments in VMware technologies. Now, with the Advantage Program ending October 31, 2025, and a significant partner consolidation underway, you’re being asked to pivot fast.

You’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure this out by yourself.

At OTAVA, we remain fully engaged in Broadcom’s ecosystem as an authorized VMware Cloud Service Provider. We are actively aligned with the new model and prepared to support other service providers, MSPs, and cloud platforms who find themselves impacted by the shift.

But this isn’t about “taking your business.” This is about helping you keep it. This isn’t about reacting. This is about helping you respond. We are a partner for partners. We believe in listening first, solving second, and executing with care.

Whether you need to talk through your options, understand what’s changing, or build a plan for your customers moving forward, we’re here. No pressure. No pitch. Just a conversation among peers.

Why These Changes Matter

The move to a more narrowed invitation-only VCSP model means that many former partners will lose access to sell or renew VMware licenses after October 31, 2025. That does not need to negatively impact your customers, infrastructure, support paths, or long-term IT strategies.

If you’ve received a non-renewal notice or suspect one is coming, now is the time to act. Understanding renewal cycles, current commitments, and transition timelines is key. Even more importantly, finding a partner that can step in without disruption is essential.

Finally, this is your opportunity as a critical leader to your organization, and its customers and employees, to reimagine your business, which has the potential to come back better and stronger.  This isn’t the end, it’s the beginning of something new.  Embrace it.  You are well equipped to continue your proven success.

In partnership,
