Back in August, I blogged about the upcoming 2011 HIPAA Violations and Audits, and news of the government’s $9.2 million contract with auditing firm KPMG to complete 150 on-site audits of covered entities by December 2012.

The OCR officially launched its HIPAA Audit Program, starting in November 2011.
